| At the Crest of theTidal Wave: a Forecast for the Great Bear Market |
| PRECHTER, Robert | 1995 | 0932750397 | Probably the best economic bear book ever written with a technical analysis viewpoint. The
forecasts are at least a decade early, but when you consider that the author is examining
patterns that range over multiple centuries, a decade does not seem to be so far off.

| View from the Top of the Grand Supercycle |
| PRECHTER, Robert | 2003 | 0932750559 | Section One contains several essays that detail how the mania
has manifested itself in the late 1990's and early 2000's. Section Two discusses
the Elliott Wave forecasting mistakes the author
has made in his career, with suggestions on how to avoid such mistakes in the future.
Perhaps
the author's
most astonishing prediction, made back in 1987, was about himself, when he
predicted that he would call the top too soon. Even now (late 2005), the author
appears to be early in his market movement forecasts, but the socioeconomic problems
he has forecasted along with these anticipated market movements appear to be
materializing. What is interesting about his market forecasts of late (2003-2005),
is that the markets often indeed appear to pause or hover around the levels he calculates
before continuing their movements.
The postscript gives a forecast for an important market bottom
in the 2003-2004 timeframe. Elliott Wave Theorist
subscribers will know that this has been extended out to 2008-2012. A long term (multi-decade) forecast is still a work in
progress.
This is an excellent followup to At the Crest
of the Tidal Wave.
